In February of 2021, at the infamous Scarlet Oak Restaurant, Courtney and Sam met while working at the National Republican Congressional Committee. The two worked side by side - in neighboring cubicles - and a strong friendship developed over the next year and a half. By August 2022, the pair began dating.

They created a home together in the Navy Yard neighborhood of Washington, D.C. with their two cats, Bella and Leo. On March 16, 2024, surrounded by close family on Longboat Key, Sam proposed to Courtney with a ring adorned with baguette diamonds from his great-grandmother.

Sam and Courtney eagerly await to begin this new chapter of their lives and look forward to celebrating their union with loved ones in the charming Spanish beach town of St. Augustine.
